There are the most legendary pilgrimage centers in this part of the Prant.Kolhapur, Tuljapur, Bhima-Shankar, Trimbkeshwar, Shani Shiganapur, Shirdi, Astavinayak, Shikhar Shiganapur, Pandharpur, Aalandi- Dehu, Sajjangad,  Great saints from this region are  Shri Dnyaneshwar, Shri Tukaram Maharaj,Samarth Ramdas Swami Saint Namdev, Saint Sopankaka, Saint Chokhoba, Savata Maharaj, Damaji Pant, Jagnade Maharaj Mahipati Maharaj

  • Seva Prakalpa – Hostel

The VHP, W. Maharashtra Prant is managing many seva prakalpas. Students from nearly 100 villages are benefiting from this projects. At following places hostels & Schools are operated by VHP.

  • Seva Prakalpa - HealthCare
  • In Pune, Niramay Trust (an initiative of VHP, Pune)  runs a free vaccination program in 110 places (95 slums + 15 construction sites). More than 20,000 children are getting benefit. Nirammay also runs 8 Kishori Shakti projects in and around Pune. Nearly 270 girls are taking trainging at these centers. Niramay reaches 11,000+ families. All these services are given at the door steps through two mobile clinics. These facilities are provided free of cost.
  • Mobile Clinic during  Pandharpur yatra

Pandharpur is well known Pilgrim place from Maharashtra. Every year 2-3 lack devotees participate in Palkhi Sohala. This Palkhi Sohala begins from Alandi and Dehu [Near Pune] devotee start walking and reaches Pandharpur after 15 days. They perform all forms of chanting, Bhajan, Sankirtan while walking. To provide medical support for devotees during Palkhi Sohala VHP decided to launch these services.  “Mobile clinic for the Warkari” in 1988 now  Four  Mobile Dispensaries are maintained for the “Varkaris” from Aalandi to Pandharpur each year. Teams of 32 Docters with 12 Support staff / nurses are maintained for 20 days.

  • Personality Development Program at Nasik – coaching is giving to the needy children of 5 wastis.
  • Students attending the program are securing more than 80% marks in the exams.
  • Likely  a Balwadi for 280 children in  running in Nasik.
  • Madhav Rugnaseva – Nasik. –              Medical equipments are provided for     the needy patients.
  • Such Rugnaseva prakalpas are operated at 2 places in Pune and at Ghoti, Igatpuri, Daund.

    • The VHP, W. Maharashtra Prant is regularly publishing different publications to promote the Hindu culture.  These publications are also the source of  information for Hindu Social events and programs.
