Hindu Heritage Foundation organizes Fresher’s Welcome cum Orientation Program under the banner, guidance, and support of Banaras Hindu University and ICCR.
The event was dedicated to “Saint Bhagini Nivedita” a student of Swami Vivekanand, whose world is celebrating 150th Birth Anniversary, who was inspired by Ved and Bhartiya culture and spread the message of peace to the society.
Shri Amarendra Khatua, (former Director-General ICCR), Ms. Padmaja (Director CPV, Ministry of External Affairs), Shri. Nitin Ramesh Gokarn (Commissioner-Varanasi), Shri Nitin Bansal (Municipal Commissioner), Shri Prashant Hartalkar (Convener HHF), Justice Shri Devi Prasad Singh (HOD, armed Forces Tribunal, Lucknow) were among the prominent guest.
Ms. Padmaja (Director-MEA), Shri Prashant Hartalkar (Convener-HHF), Shri Amarendra Khatua, (former Director-General ICCR), were among prominent speakers.
The program started with a video message from Shri. Alok Kumar Singh (Commander NDRF) Students from 62 countries participated in this program. Through this event, we showcase our Bhartiya Culture and Sanskriti.
On arrival, students were greeted with tilak & flower garland. Students from all participated countries were introduced with the Indian families to make them feel of Bhartiya.
Students from Nepal started the cultural program with a solo performance followed by Sri Lanka Instrument Fusion. Students from North-East perform Bamboo dance & kathak fusion on Krishna Theme.
Certificates were distributed after the cultural program followed by a vote of thanks by Shri Sanjeev Sawhney (Secretary HHF).
Then came the much awaited Deepawali celebration with all the foreign students along with Bhartiya families.
The program was enjoyed by all the students’ participants, who enjoyed the company of Bhartiya Families and celebrated Laxmi Poojan & first time ever Digital Diwali with them.
The message is clear that Bharat is a country of love & peace and harmony, which is good for the world as a whole.
